Saturday Workshops

Foundations, focus and confidence — guided by our teachers.

At Upton Wellness, workshops will be integral part of how we support your practice to grow — thoughtfully, gently and with clarity.

Each Saturday, our studio will hosts a dedicated Practice Workshop, led by one of our teachers on a rotating cycle. Each session will focuses on a specific style, discipline or theme, offering you the space to slow down, learn and deepen your understanding in a supportive environment.

Workshops are designed to bridge the gap between classes — helping you feel confident, informed and supported as your practice evolves.

In Pilates workshops, you can expect clear guidance around alignment, control, core engagement and efficient movement, with options to suit different bodies and abilities.

In Yoga workshops, sessions may explore postural alignment (asana), breath awareness (pranayama), safe modifications and mindful transitions — helping you move with greater confidence and ease.

Expect a nurturing and supportive space where you can reconnect with your body, restore balance and move through this stage of life with greater ease and awareness.

The session will include gentle flowing movement, grounding breathwork and moments of stillness designed to calm the nervous system and support emotional wellbeing.

This workshop is open to all levels and is particularly supportive for women navigating the changes of peri-menopause and menopause.

Join us for a deeply nourishing practice designed to honour the body through transition.

Supporting Women Through Peri-Menopause & Menopause

Supporting Women Through Peri-Menopause & Menopause

The transitional years of peri-menopause and menopause bring profound changes within the body, hormones and emotional landscape. During this time, practices that support balance, flow and gentle strength can make a powerful difference.

This special workshop presented by Martine focuses on the Sacral Chakra, the energy centre associated with the water element, female reproductive energy, hormones, creativity and the natural flow of change.

Through a carefully guided yoga practice, we will explore movements and breath that support the pelvis, hips and lower back while encouraging softness and release within the body.

Using Props

Nichole will also show how everyday household items can be adapted as props, making it easier to continue your practice wherever you are.

This is a hands-on session where you will move, experiment and learn new ways to approach familiar poses.

Suitable for all levels, this workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to gain confidence, develop skill and deepen their yoga practice.

Expect to work on your mat, learn practical tools and have some fun along the way.

Using Props to Enhance Your Yoga Practice

Saturday 29th  March 11:00AM

Yoga props are powerful tools that can transform the way we experience our practice.

Whether you are finding certain poses difficult to access or looking to deepen and refine your movement, props provide support, accessibility and challenge when used with understanding.

In this practical 60-minute workshop, Nichole will guide you through the principles of using props effectively within your yoga practice.

You will explore how props such as blocks and straps can support alignment, improve stability and allow the body to move more freely within posture

Workshops

Do I need any experience? No — these workshops are designed to be accessible to everyone. Whether you’re completely new, returning after time away, or wanting to refine your foundations, you’ll be supported at every step.

Which workshop should I choose? Choose the practice you’re most curious about, or the one you’re currently attending on the timetable. Each workshop is led by the same teachers who guide our regular classes, helping you feel confident about where to begin or how to progress.

Are workshops suitable if I already attend classes? Absolutely. Many regular students use workshops to deepen understanding, refine technique and reconnect with the fundamentals in a supportive, unhurried way.

Will I be singled out or corrected? No. Guidance is always offered with care and consent. Options, adaptations and gentle hands-on support (where appropriate) are available — never required.

Can I attend without becoming a member? Yes. Non-members are welcome to book workshops at the standard drop-in rate. Members benefit from a reduced workshop price.

Workshops may focus on:

  • Foundational movement and alignment in Yoga or Mat Pilates

  • Specific postures, transitions or sequences

  • Modifications and adaptations for pregnancy, rehabilitation or injury history

  • Building confidence for beginners and those returning to practice

  • Refining technique, breath awareness and body awareness for ongoing students
